MYBS Baseball Programs

MYBS provides three different seasons for children in grades 1 through grade 8  to play baseball.  Each season has a different format, click on the season links above to find out more about Spring/Summer/Fall programs.

• Spring Baseball - this is our 'rec' or town league.  Spring baseball is for fun and is open to anyone who wishes to play.  The Majors and Babe Ruth levels are highly competitive.  There are no cuts at any level, and teams are balanced.  There are generally 10 to 12 games for grades 3 and up; 1st and 2nd grade will have a combination of skills clinics and mini two to three inning games where everyone bats (and closing off each game is the race around the bases).
  
  
• Summer Baseball - this is the most competitive season.  There will be tryouts and there may be cuts depending on the number of kids who try out, however we always strive to find a home for a player if possible.  Ages are based on the LL age determination.  Teams will play a regular season schedule and also participate in tournaments.
  
  
• Fall Baseball - similar to Spring, we are looking to provide an opportunity for kids to have fun with limited pressure.  There are no tryouts, no cuts, and teams will play against other towns (grades 3 through 7).  1st and 2nd grade will have a similar season to Spring at McCarthy Park.
